Proving Basket/Banneton - Oval (27cm x 13cm x 6.5cm)

Professional rattan oval proofing basket ideal for rising dough which assists in the loaf maintaining its shape during proofing.

This size is great for 750g - 1kg loaves It also gives a lovely spiral pattern to the loaf. Ideal for artisan loaves including slow rise breads and sourdough - does not come with a inner liner, but don't let that put you off - you can coat the inside with rice flour or use a clean tea towel coated with flour and you will have the same outcome as with a liner.

After use tap out excess flour or brush with a course brush to get out excess flour - wash in warm soapy water and allow to dry thoroughly. ( I sometimes put mine in a warm oven to dry out (no more than 25degC) or allow to dry in the sun to prevent it going moldy . Please DO NOT soak and don't use strong detergents. Store in a cool dry place and don't stack or store in airtight containers. Not suitable for baking in the oven.
